DIRECTV C61W Wireless GENIE Mini Client for HR34/HR44/HR54 and HS17

The DIRECTV C61W Genie Client is a wireless client device that only works with the DIRECTV HR54 Genie Home Media Center DVR and its predecessors, the DIRECTV HR34 and HR44 Genies. The C61W is also compatible with the non-DVR Genie H44.

This type of unit, called a "Genie Mini," brings most of the capabilities of the Genie (HR34/HR44/HR54/HS17) to additional rooms in your house.

You can attach up to eight Genie Minis (C31, C41, C51, C61, C61K, C41W, C61W) to your Genie, but only three can be used at any one time. So we recommend just having a maximum of three Minis attached. If you need to supply more TVs, we recommend the H25 (not wireless), which can use its own tuner and can also see recordings on a Genie Server is there is an available slot.

The C61W will require a base station called a DIRECTV Wireless Video Bridge to get access to the SWM/DECA network.
