OTA Antenna and HD ATSC Broadcast Information

There are some great reasons to use an OTA (over-the-air) antenna in the US and Canada!

• Antenna reception is free! You don't need cable or satellite service to receive OTA channels.
• Quality is amazing! Because the FCC has given so much bandwidth to traditional broadcast channels, these channels are able to broadcast signals that have far less compression that cable and satellite broadcasters. The difference is very noticeable.
• Many channels are ONLY available via OTA. Sub-channels of major broadcasters and channels directed toward smaller groups in big cities (generally non-English channels) may only be available via OTA.
• Get ABC, NBC, FOX, CBS, PBS and more all for free, depending on your exact location.
• In many cases, there are advantages to combining paid cable or satellite service with free OTA HD service.

The antennas below will connect directly to most HD TVs, and the HD TV can then run a channel search to learn what channels you can pick up.

• Refurbished TiVo Bolt DVRs for Antenna: All of the TiVo Bolts we stock can record four OTA signals at once. TiVo subscription included.
• Refurbished TiVo Roamio OTA DVRs: The base model of the TiVo Roamio we stock will receive and record up to four OTA signals at once. These units also include the TiVo subscription.
